Stumbled across a real nice commencement speech given by Michael Wilbon. I liked that he didn't give the illusion that everyone is going to be successful and that life will be easy. Notable quotes include:
Another line I wish I had written was uttered by that noted philosopher Mike Tyson. It's a compact and powerful line, just like Mike's punches. He said 'Everybody's got a plan, until they get hit.' Just remember, you are gonna get hit.

All of their video bars are purple, that must be what school pride feels like. The song of the day is from the Hangover but mostly for Mike Tyson (shhh... this is my favorite part coming up right now).

Lyric of the Day: I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord, and I've been waiting for this moment for all my life. In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins

Paul the Octopus struck again, crushing Germans hearts all over the world. At least he didn't set them up for a letdown this year. I'm sure Spain is a blast to be in right now (unless you have a strict wife).

Lyric of the Day: And I'll sit and wonder, of every love that could've been. If I'd only thought of something charming to say. Sound of Settling - Death Cab for Cutie

"Hey Nick, what do you think the number would be if I rolled all these dice right now?" You better bet I said 52, strange world.

Lyric of the Day: Without love, where would you be now. Long Train Running - Doobie Brothers

A very eventful and well planned 3rd of July party, plenty of thundercats but 95% already had cages. Grecian security was at its finest, kicking out blacked-out, salsa dancers (and their friends too). Vean insisted on the title Erectus Maximus while displaying dance moves that reached levels of whiteness only thought to be hypothetical. Tom held a symposium on statues with boners but the crowd quickly protested until the subject was changed to a classier discourse on barrel's of dicks. We witnessed the emergence of Shaun's alter-ego, Lunchbox Shaun. All in all, a good night to be told that I am the best bicyclist ever.

Lyric of the Day: Yo I'm livin' in this time behind enemy lines, so I got mine, I hope you ("got yourself a gun"). Got Yourself a Gun - Nas

Life lesson learned: there is such a thing as too much beer run. Great times and great company. Who knew 3.5 could make so many people look like kids in a candy store.

Lyric of the Day: Oh when I look back now, that summer seemed to last forever. Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams

Burnouts, drags, and asshole, with no particular relation to each other.

Lyric of the Day: And the waitress is practicing politics, as the businessmen slowly get stoned. Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness, but it's better than drinking alone. Piano Man - Billy Joel

I hope this fortune turns out to be every bit as sexual as it promises. The Walrus has been absolutely on fire of late which just makes every day even more chipper.
