"There's a Chase Headley fan hoping for him to get on the bag." -Mark Grant

My one and only moment of fame thanks to Channel 4.

Lyric of the Day: Move you hips with me darling, oh sugar come on. Crooked Crown - The Anniversary

Living is Beautiful

Last consistent Mahi sighting ever. Things start to get progressively more sad from this point out but summer does not stop for anyone. I guess it's better that way but it never feels like it. Jeff's 21st last night with plenty of debauchery. If you recognize this bathroom then it is safe to say your room got flipped.

I don't usually say anything about the song of the day but this is one has a message you should try not to forget.

Lyric of the Day: Living is beautiful/What, what? It's beautiful/Be as I be, see what I see/Paradise is life and living is surviving. Living is Beautiful - Pep Love

Beer darts yesterday (board below). You can play find the lizard with the first picture (hint it's dead).

Lyric(Song) of the Day: Storm Returns - Prefuse 73

Plan Emergen-C 30 was enacted after trivia, which required simultaneous uttering of the world "thirty" checked by cutting edge voice analysis software to make sure the words perfectly synched, followed by a retina scan, a urine test, DNA analysis, and finally a trek through the dreaded aggro crag.

Lyric of the Day: Stressin' how hardcore and real she is, she was really the realest before she got into show-biz. I Used to Love H.E.R. - Common Sense

Lyric of the Day: I am an epiphany. I am webbed foot mammal channel surfing my way to the top. Battery - Aesop Rock

Toy Story 3, the saddest movie of all time.

Out of context conversation from last night:
1) I'm getting pretty fluid at this.
2) What do you mean?
1) Usually my conversations are terrible but that one was smooooooth.
2) Dog you had to say like 2 lines, "One for Toy Story" and "Thank you".
(I'll give you a hint, Mike is number 2)

Lyric of the Day: Someday my name and hers are going to be the same. Bus Stop - The Hollies

I've been on a 3 day hiatus so that means plenty of pictures. Just gonna throw together a list of highlights: Quarter-bowl(172!), Padres game, T(equila) Timeout, the 2006 Kenta, Laker's finals and the aftermath. If you were there for any part of it it was fun as hell.

Lyric(x3) of the Day: You learn to be a man without losing the boy in you. Shoot Down the Stars - Gym Class Heroes

I want it now, I want it now, give me your heart and your soul. Hysteria - Muse

Hot Chip will break your legs, snap off your head. Hot Chip will put you down, under the ground. The Warning - Hot Chip

Max was in town for 12 hours yesterday so Fiki and I went and visited with him. The smaller England cooked pasta and we all sat around and talked (sometimes even about butt-chugging). Dad comes to town today and quarter-bowling makes a reunion tour.

Lyric of the Day: I had a dream I could buy my way to heaven, when I awoke I spent that on a necklace. Can't Tell Me Nothing - Kanye West

Sunday, June 13, 2010

Cousin just got to Encinitas to live in the old house indefinitely. I always forget how much fun we have together until he we hang out. Him coming out here also means I finally get my restored, late Christmas present. She's a beauty; low action, narrow neck, and a fantastic tone to name a few things. Hager's graduation BBQ today and drunk shenanigans with old people.

Lyric of the Day: TBA

Graduation

What a great night to end the year, party bus, walks to the beach, h to hs, and drunk igloo, to name a few things, but today belongs to the world cup, USA! Happy Graduation to everyone.

Lyric of the Day: I guess I thought that this would never end, and suddenly it's like we're women and men. Graduation Song - Vitamin C

Friday, June 11, 2010

Insanely hard final followed by trivia night. We didn't do so hot last night but I put the blame on our team name. Janelle tried to flip my number over to make 69 (I'll let you figure out how well that one went). 5 hours until my last final, guess I should open the book.

Lyric of the Day: I hate the ending myself, but it started with an alright scene. Disenchanted - My Chemical Romance

Thursday, June 10, 2010

Late night and early morning, it must be finals week and I must be screwed for this test. Here's a little finals humor to keep you going.

Lyric of the Day: She used to dream of moving pictures, now she slips into the sky. Only for the Night - RX Bandits

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

Today you get a special, three pictures for the price of one. This about sums it up I think. The sign that left the house with streetwalker Jemmy came complete with a full page map on the back, just incase someone picked her up on the streets. Did I mention that she did 6 whole beer bongs?

It's black Wednesday so I'll also give you two lyrics for the price of one.

Lyric(s) of the Day: Being a man means not giving a fuck to live or die.

So don't be an over-consuming American asshole,
If you gotta be an asshole at least use recycled paper products, damn. Rivers Run Dry - Grouch and Eligh

Popping My Photographic Cherry

This one is from the weekend. This was maybe the greatest game of Jenga (and by Jenga I mean the generic Stack-Attack) of all time, guest-starring Tom Frank. Yes, the paper towel roll is there for scale.

Lyric of the Day: You seem cool for a naked chick in a booth, let's be pals some day. Stranger-The Presidents of the United States of America

The Beginning

I'm not really into blogging about my life but I got an idea from a friend of mine on the frisbee team (should be pretty obvious who you are). I'm going to try to post a picture a day from my life (or maybe otherwise if I'm feeling adventurous) along with a lyric and its accompanying song. Not that the two will have anything to do with each other but mostly for myself and maybe to expand your musical horizons (can't promise that all of them will be not Taylor Swift though). So here it is, look at the pictures, don't look at the pictures, I don't care but this is a slice of my daily life as seen through my robot (iphone).

p.s. the pictures will most likely lag my actual life by a few days for obvious reasons, if you don't like it you can git out.
